Baseball Recap: Weiss Beats Pflugerville for Their Sixth Straight Win

Weiss came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Pflugerville Panthers 12-3. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Amari Maxwell, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Deegan Warnock, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Weiss was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Weiss' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.
