Football Recap: Trey Brown's Menacing Defense Leads Hodgson Vo-Tech over William Penn

If William Penn wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hodgson Vo-Tech, they should've done a better job of containing Keytwan Sabur. The Eagles snuck past the Colonials with a 12-8 victory on Saturday thanks in part to Sabur, who rushed for 122 yards and one TD, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. He has become a key player for Hodgson Vo-Tech: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hodgson Vo-Tech's defense and their six sacks. In that department, Trey Brown was the leader with three. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Charles Drummond was another major factor on D, making eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged an interception.

With the win, Hodgson Vo-Tech broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for William Penn, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
