Baseball Recap: Western Yell County Comes Up Short

Western Yell County lost against Mulberry back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolverines lost 13-2 to the Yellowjackets. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gunner Corbin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Isaiah Carter was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

Western Yell County's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Mulberry, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coincidentally, Western Yell County and Mulberry will both be playing Scranton the next time they take the field. The Wolverines will head out to face the Rockets at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th.
