After a string of seven wins, Carolina Friends's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cristo Rey Research Triangle Bulls by a score of 3-2. Carolina Friends were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Cristo Rey Research Triangle earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

James Hallquist and Jose Chirino scored both of Carolina Friends' goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Carolina Friends' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Cristo Rey Research Triangle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Carolina Friends will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Friendship Christian at 4:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Cristo Rey Research Triangle, they will venture away from home to face off against Raleigh Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
