Baseball Recap: Cowanesque Valley Comes Up Short

Cowanesque Valley dropped their record down to 13-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Towanda Black Knights by a score of 5-4. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Black Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Loagan Stickler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

As for Towanda, their record is now 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 22nd.

On Towanda's side, the team relied heavily on Boom Thompson, who earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Thompson has posted since back in April.

Looking ahead, Cowanesque Valley will host Troy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Towanda, they will venture away from home to challenge Sayre at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Black Knights are facing the Sabres at the right time seeing as the Sabres are stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
