Basketball Recap: La Plata Comes Up Short

After flying high against Novinger last Tuesday, La Plata came back down to earth. The La Plata Bulldogs came up short against the Brashear Tigers on Friday, falling 61-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Tigers since December 11, 2018.

La Plata's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-6. As for Brashear, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Plata will challenge Putnam County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. La Plata is facing Putnam County at the right time seeing as Putnam County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Brashear, they will square off against Knox County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
