Basketball Recap: Malia Kent's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Richfield over Carey

It was a proper cat-fight when Richfield challenged Carey on Thursday. The Richfield Tigers lost to the Carey Panthers on the road by a 41-24 margin. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Richfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Malia Kent, who posted 11 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Kallee Hendren, who put up four points and seven rebounds.

Richfield's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Carey, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Richfield nor Carey have any future games scheduled.
