Blacksburg has gone 9-0-1 against Cave Spring recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bruins are taking a road trip to challenge the Knights at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blacksburg has 13 straight wins, Cave Spring has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Blacksburg's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Radford 4-0. Considering Blacksburg have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Cave Spring's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christiansburg on Friday. While losing is never fun, Cave Spring can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Christiansburg are ranked sixth).

Blacksburg's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 42 goals over those eight games. As for Cave Spring, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10-1.

Blacksburg took their victory against Cave Spring in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
