It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Brunswick Academy had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They snuck past The Carmel School Wildcats with a 51-45 victory. The Vikings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why The Carmel School lost, don't look at Kedelin Santos. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds. Santos' big performance that morning made it 20 games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. April Twum-Barimah was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 12 boards.

Brunswick Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points on average over those games. The Carmel School moved to 14-6 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.
