Volleyball Recap: Maxwell Wildcats vs. Franklin Flyers
Maxwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Franklin Flyers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flyers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Madelynn Nelson and Keira Strickland certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Nelson had 13 digs and three assists, while Strickland had seven digs.
Regan Kahrs was a one-woman wrecking crew For Franklin. as she had 28 digs. Those 28 digs gave Kahrs a new career-high.
Maxwell now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Franklin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Maxwell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Wallace on the 13th. As for Franklin, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Lawrence-Nelson on the 13th.
