Baseball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Livingston's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Livingston can now relate to. They fell 5-0 to the Bullard Panthers on Thursday. Considering the last time the Lions couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Livingston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rudy Marquez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. Marquez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

With the defeat, Livingston broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-7. As for Bullard, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-9.

While Livingston had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
