Basketball Recap: Largo Comes Up Short

Largo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 67-59 to the Dunedin Falcons. If the Packers were looking for revenge after losing 55-51 to the Falcons when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Largo still got an impressive performance from Chase Clark, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 27 points along with seven boards and three steals. Clark is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Denzel Johnson was another key player, putting up ten points.

PIERCE ADKINS continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dunedin, shooting 8-for-12 from deep and dropping a double-double with 29 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave ADKINS a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). Another player making a difference was PARKER MOLESWORTH, who posted nine points and five boards.

Largo's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Dunedin, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Largo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-20 victory against Classical Prep on the 30th. As for Dunedin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 87-30 win against Lakeside Christian on the 30th.
