Basketball Recap: Keys Gate Skates Past Cushman with Ease

Keys Gate waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took their game with ease, bagging a 63-30 win over the Cushman Cougars. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 33 points or more this season.

Terrance Shannon Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 of 15 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Brown, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points.

Keys Gate smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Keys Gate's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Cushman, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Keys Gate won't have much time to rest: their next match is against South Dade at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cushman, they will square off against Academy for Innovative Education at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
