Volleyball Game Preview: Lehi Pioneers vs. Corner Canyon Chargers

The Lehi Pioneers will head out on the road to square off against the Corner Canyon Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lehi has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 6.

On Tuesday, Lehi didn't have quite enough to beat American Fork and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lehi sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 25-17, 25-27, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Corner Canyon faced Lone Peak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Chargers came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Chargers have suffered since September 11th.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 25-21, 27-25, 26-24.

Lehi's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Corner Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.

Lehi suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Corner Canyon when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
