Soccer Game Preview: Patrick Henry vs. Grossmont

The Patrick Henry Patriots are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on the Grossmont Foothillers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

If Grossmont heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Patrick Henry took over last week. Patrick Henry blew past Valhalla 5-1 on Tuesday. That looming 5-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Grossmont was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Imperial could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Grossmont's record moves to 2-3-1. As for Patrick Henry, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Patrick Henry beat Grossmont by a goal in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Patrick Henry since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
