Soccer Recap: Gaither Comes Up Short

After soaring to eight goals the game before, Gaither was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against the Newsome Wolves, falling 4-1. The Cowboys have struggled against Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Gaither's goal came courtesy of Mara Nicholson, who's now up to five this season.

Gaither now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for Newsome, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gaither will host King at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gaither is facing King at the right time seeing as King is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Newsome, they will be playing at home against Wharton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
