Belleville won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Belleville Tigers took down the Franklin Patriots 59-44. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Patriots are ranked 333rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin's loss came despite strong showings from Owen Pittenger and Dominic Goines. Pittenger went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points, while Goines posted 11 points and six rebounds. Pittenger has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeffery Little, who scored five points.

Belleville's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Belleville has already played their next game, a 58-46 loss against South Christian on the 7th. As for Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 82-50 defeat against Wayne Memorial on the 7th.
