Baseball Recap: Waccamaw Comes Up Short

Waccamaw was the 11-0 winner over Cheraw when they last played one another back in March of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Waccamaw Warriors fell 7-4 to the Cheraw Braves on Sunday.

Waccamaw saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Galasso, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave Galasso a new career-high in runs. Another was Corrin Green, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Waccamaw's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cheraw, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Waccamaw wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-6 defeat against West Forsyth on the 12th. As for Cheraw, they have also already played their next game, a 12-2 win against Central on the 12th.
