Football Recap: Crestview Falls to Milton in First Game of Season

Crestview had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They and the Milton Panthers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Bulldogs suffered a 20-19 loss. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 6-0 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Crestview still got an impressive performance from Zy Tassin, who rushed for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. Tassin's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The critical scores for Milton came from Aiden Spratt, Kyle Paul, and Kaiden Hall.

Crestview will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Choctawhatchee at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Milton, they will take on Pensacola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
