Volleyball Recap: Xavier College Prep Gators vs. Desert Vista Thunder        
        
		
             Xavier College Prep entered their tilt with Desert Vista on Thursday with four consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Desert Vista Thunder 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gators also won the last time the pair played  back in September of 2021.
 The  3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Xavier College Prep was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15,  25-13.
 Xavier College Prep got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Mattea Saunders out in front who  had 15  digs and two  aces. Saunders is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 12 or more in the last five games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leighton Fig, who  had five  digs and three  aces.
 She wasn't the only good server: Xavier College Prep  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 11  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least seven  aces in three consecutive  matchups.
 Xavier College Prep pushed their record up to 14-1 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Desert Vista, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record  this season.
 Xavier College Prep will square off against Millennium at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Desert Vista, they will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome Corona del Sol, where the match is scheduled  at 6:00  p.m. Corona del Sol will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something Desert Vista surely won't give up without a fight.
