Preview: Wicomico Indians vs. North Caroline Bulldogs
Wicomico has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The North Caroline Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Wicomico didn't have too much trouble with Bennett at home as they won 21-7. The win was just what Wicomico needed coming off of a 41-10 loss in their prior game.
Among those leading the charge was Jordyn Hayman, who rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Hayman was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Meanwhile, North Caroline never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Colonel Richardson 35-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for North Caroline, who have now won four games by 34 points or more so far this season.
Zymear Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, picking up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Nasai Bell was another key contributor, throwing for 171 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
Wicomico's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for North Caroline, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Wicomico came up short against North Caroline in their previous matchup back in September, falling 14-7. Can Wicomico avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
