Baseball Recap: Quitman Panthers vs. Morton Panthers

Quitman lost against Morton last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Quitman lost 14-6 to Morton. Quitman has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Daniel Peters made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaliel Cameron, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Quitman's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Morton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Coming up, Quitman will host Stringer at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Quitman has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Morton, they will head out on the road to face off against Scott Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
