Interstate Eight - Large recap Oct. 3, 2012

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Manteno, who took down 184th ranked Manteno, 38-19.

Sandwich extended the longest winning streak in Interstate Eight - Large this week by beating Peotone, 42-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Indians.

Herscher's Dalton Sproul and Kyle Burton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sproul has thrown for 560 yards this season, while Burton, a 5-foot-6 receiver, has 22 catches for 322 yards. Danny Beresky from the Blue Devils leads the league in rushing with 523 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Coal City takes on Peotone. As it stands, the Coalers are in second, while Kevin Greene's team is in fourth.

The Tigers moved up to 322 from 360 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Interstate Eight - Large. Herscher was able to make the jump by beating the Panthers 38-19.
