Basketball Recap: Sherman Comes Up Short

Sherman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Melissa Cardinals 69-14. The contest marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Melissa, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-8.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Sherman Bearcats face off against the Greenville Lions at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Sherman is facing Greenville at the right time seeing as Greenville is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Melissa, they will square off against Anna at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Melissa has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
