Softball Preview: Methacton Warriors vs. Pennridge Rams
The Methacton Warriors will head out to face off against the Pennridge Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Methacton will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Methacton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over Gwynedd Mercy Academy on Thursday. Considering the Warriors have won three matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Pennridge hadn't done well against North Penn recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams walked away with a 6-3 win over the Knights. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Averi Dockery made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.
