Pearl River was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Irvington on Friday. The Pirates never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Pearl River has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Irvington, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Pearl River didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-5 win against Rye Neck on the 24th. Irvington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
