Football Game Preview: Gordon Lee Trojans vs. Chattooga Indians

The Gordon Lee Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Chattooga Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Gordon Lee put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They really took it to Christian Heritage for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-21 win. With the Trojans ahead 35-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Among those leading the charge was Dustin Day, who threw for 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 17 passes. What's more, he racked up 127.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Chattooga didn't have too much trouble with Armuchee on Friday as they won 45-27.

Gordon Lee pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games. As for Chattooga, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Gordon Lee strolled past Chattooga in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a score of 42-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
