Soccer Recap: Jim Thorpe Comes Up Short

Jim Thorpe lost against Palisades back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Olympians lost 6-0 to the Pirates. While losing is never fun, Jim Thorpe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Palisades are ranked 138th).

Jim Thorpe has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Palisades, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3-1.

Jim Thorpe has already played their next matchup, a 6-0 loss against Southern Lehigh on the 4th. As for Palisades, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Lehighton on the 4th.
