Basketball Game Preview: Nevada Blue Jays vs. Genoa Central Dragons

Nevada is 0-3 against Genoa Central since November of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Nevada Blue Jays will head out on the road to take on the Genoa Central Dragons at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Nevada is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Blevins.

Meanwhile, Genoa Central suffered their closest loss since December 14, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Prescott by a score of 48-46. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Genoa Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Nevada, their loss dropped their record down to 5-20.

Nevada ended up a good deal behind Genoa Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 43-27. Can Nevada avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
