Volleyball Recap: Eaton Beats Madison for Their Third Straight Victory

Eaton waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Madison Mohawks as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Eaton was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-8, 25-7.

Ella Statzer had a dynamite game, getting nine digs and six aces. Another player making a difference was Maddyn Davis, who had five aces and three digs.

They weren't the only good server: Eaton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in four consecutive games.

Eaton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Madison, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Eaton will head out on the road to face off against Greenville at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison, they will challenge Oakwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
