Softball Recap: Union Takes a Loss

New Providence hit Union with a six-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Farmers came up short against the Pioneers, falling 11-1. The Farmers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.

This is the second loss in a row for Union and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for New Providence, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Coincidentally, Union and New Providence will both be playing Oak Knoll the next time they take the field. The Farmers will host the Royals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Pioneers will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
