Baseball Recap: Southampton Academy Comes Up Short

If Southampton Academy was feeling good fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Tidewater Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell 8-3 to the Brunswick Academy Vikings on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-2 defeat back in April.

Dalton Drake was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one double.

Southampton Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Brunswick Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Southampton Academy nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
