Heritage Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bethesda Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Heritage Christian's offense. They lost 10-0 to Triton Central on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bethesda Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Gophers.

Annah Heath spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits.

At the plate, Bethesda Christian let Avery Gibbs and Eliza Gibbs run wild. Avery went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Eliza got on base in four of her eight plate appearances with two RBI. That's the most hits Avery has posted since back in April of 2024. Maylin Heathco was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bethesda Christian picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Heritage Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Bethesda Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
