Football Game Preview: West Side Pirates vs. West Jefferson Panthers + How To Watch

The West Side Pirates will square off against the West Jefferson Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (West Side 12.6, West Jefferson 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

West Jefferson will be up against a hot West Side team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Pirates blew past Malad 40-8 last Friday. Considering the Pirates have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, West Jefferson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Malad 21-20.

West Side better keep an eye on Mac Hall. He was instrumental in West Jefferson's win, rushing for 127 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Hall is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

West Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for West Side, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

West Side came up short against West Jefferson in their previous meeting back in October of 2016, falling 36-24. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
