Baseball Recap: Seneca Extends Winning Streak to 19

Seneca came tearing into Friday's matchup with 18 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Riverdale Chieftains. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dawson Davidson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Davidson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gage Wall, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Kaden Roberts was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Seneca's win was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-2.
