Football Recap: Sinclair Miles and Dunne Christopher Lead the Defense for St. Joseph-By-The-Sea Win

St. Joseph-by-the-Sea's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They took down the Xaverian Clippers 20-6. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now won five in a row.

Sinclair Miles was the offensive standout of the game as he picked up 96 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 96 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

St. Joseph-by-the-Sea didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Miles and Dunne Christopher. Christopher is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played. Miles got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

St. Joseph-by-the-Sea now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Xaverian, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.

St. Joseph-by-the-Sea will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Peter's at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Xaverian, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-6 win against Cardinal Spellman on the 8th.
