Orange Lutheran came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Liberty Patriots by a score of 62-55. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Lancers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 105th in California, while the Patriots are ranked 13th in Nevada).

Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Evan Hilliard, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Erik Alisca, who had eight points.

Orange Lutheran's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Liberty, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-6.

When Orange Lutheran and Liberty next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Orange Lutheran will try to stop JSerra Catholic's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Liberty will try to stop Centennial's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
