Baseball Game Preview: West Perry Mustangs vs. Big Spring Bulldogs

The West Perry Mustangs will head out to take on the Big Spring Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

West Perry lost 11-1 to Greencastle-Antrim on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Big Spring's offense. They fell just short of Boiling Springs by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since May 1, 2024.

West Perry's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Big Spring, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

West Perry couldn't quite finish off Big Spring in their previous meeting back in March and fell 4-2. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
