Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Ignacio

Ignacio picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Greeley West Spartans by a score of 2-0.

Ignacio easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16.

Their offense was headlined by Maliyah Martinez and Kelly Sirios, who picked up five kills apiece. Sirios really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18. Martinez and Sirios didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Ignacio pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Greeley West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.

Ignacio will take on Mancos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greeley West, they will square off against Fort Collins at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
