Volleyball Recap: Heritage Eagles vs. Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chaparral, Heritage was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since October 10, 2024.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Heritage got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 16-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-9.
Heritage now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Looking ahead, Heritage will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Cheyenne Mountain and Discovery Canyon will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Red-Tailed Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
