Softball Game Preview: Sidney Team vs. Lansing Bobcats

The Sidney Team are taking a road trip to challenge the Lansing Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sidney is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Sidney came up short against Oneonta and fell 6-3. That's two games in a row now that the Team have lost by exactly three runs.

Sidney saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Constable, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lansing and Southern Cayuga finished up their contest with a 6-6 tie on Monday.

Sidney's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. Lansing's draw makes their record 8-7-1 this season.

Sidney took their victory against Lansing when the teams last played back in May of 2015 by a conclusive 9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Team since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
