Liberty took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lancers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Broncos on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lancers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Liberty picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-16. As for Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Liberty will host Davenport at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna, they will head out to challenge Asotin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Broncos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
