Spring Valley extended their losing streak to 12 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-20 in the process. They lost 19-6 to the Lugoff-Elgin Demons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Demons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Tuesday.

Eryn Wright was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Allie Pritchard was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Lugoff-Elgin, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games.

On Lugoff-Elgin's side, Ella Sheorn was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Sheorn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayley Lynch, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
