Carroll County got themselves on the board against Alleghany on Tuesday, but Alleghany never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Cougars. The victory was nothing new for the Cavaliers as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Carroll County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Alleghany, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Carroll County is set to take on their familiar foe Glenvar at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cavaliers 2.1, the Highlanders 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Alleghany will square off against rival James River at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
