Basketball Recap: Alexandria Extends Winning Streak to Four

Alexandria came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 61-46 win over the Cherokee County Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 70-68 last Tuesday.

Alexandria has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Cherokee County, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season.

Alexandria will head out on the road to challenge Talladega at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alexandria knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Talladega likes a good challenge. As for Cherokee County, they will take on Sand Rock in a tournament on Friday. Sand Rock will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Cherokee County surely won't give up without a fight.
