Stryker was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-19, 18-25, 25-11, 15-6.
Meanwhile, Edgerton came up short against Tinora on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-17.
Edgerton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Stryker, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's contest: Stryker has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Edgerton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Stryker beat Edgerton 3-1 when the teams last played back in August. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Bulldogs' Cara Schroeder, who had 25 digs.
