Baseball Recap: Chapin Wins Going Away Against Jefferson

Chapin owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Jefferson Silver Foxes. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Ozzie Marquez, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Chapin is 2-1 when Marquez posts three or more hits, but 6-10 otherwise. Nathan Sanchez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Chapin's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Jefferson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
