John Hardin was the 11-1 winner over Caverna when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. John Hardin fell just short of Caverna by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Brylee Varney put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Varney was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3.
