Volleyball Recap: Justin Garza Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Justin Garza had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Immanuel Eagles 3-2. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win back in April.

Justin Garza was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-101), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 26-24, 18-25, 15-7.

Marlon Goode paced Justin Garza's offense, picking up 17 kills. Goode got some help from Rudy Rocha and his 42 assists. Finally, Jasraj Buttar kept Justin Garza's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Justin Garza's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-11. As for Immanuel, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-10.
