Basketball Recap: Kolt Nelson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Franklin Community over Center Grove

Franklin Community lost against Center Grove back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs fell 50-43 to the Center Grove Trojans. The Grizzly Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Grizzly Cubs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kolt Nelson, who posted seven points and ten boards. Nelson is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jayce Nielson, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 13 points.

Franklin Community now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Center Grove, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Franklin Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-47 win against Decatur Central on the 6th. As for Center Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-36 victory against Bloomington North on the 6th.
